Jennifer R. Chaikin, MSN/MHA, RN-BC, CCRN
Education/Training Advisor
A registered nurse and graduate of the Virginia Commonwealth University/Medical College of Virginia and University of Phoenix, AZ. She brings to MASH PIT over 16 years of experience in top critical care environments as a leader, educator, researcher and author. She is President and CEO of Pediatric Education Consulting, LLC which provides education for healthcare providers, based in safety and evidence based practice standards. She is also a Clinical Nurse Educator-Pediatric Acute and Critical Care at a local Level 2 trauma center in Washington, DC. She continues to co-author in various educational nursing publications and school textbooks. In addition, she is a guest lecturer and presenter on pediatric critical care and staff development issues for multiple nursing organizations.
Susan Thomas Novy, LMBT, RYT
Holistic/Wellness Advisor
A registered yoga teacher and licensed massage therapist specializing in yoga therapy and pain/stress relieving therapeutic massage. She uses modalities such as Ashiatsu, Myofascial Release and Reflexology along with guided meditation to enable overall well being. She has been the owner of Branchview Body Therapy in Concord, NC for 10 years. Susan brings to MASH PIT the holistic/wellness component that MASH PIT offers when caring for patrons, artists and crew. Since 2004 Susan has owned and operated "Massage on Tour" an organization of licensed massage therapists that provide therapeutic massage, yoga therapy and guided meditation to professional artists, entertainers, musicians and production teams on the east coast. She has worked with Grammy award winning artists and some of the busiest touring bands in rock n' roll. Susan will provide our PIT Teams with the tools and staff to offer unique holistic treatments. Maurisa Turner Potts, Marketing & Public Relations Strategist Public Relations Advisor A graduate of Virginia Tech University is known for her signature marketing style, strategic savviness, creativity, communications and events experience. She is the Founder and President of her own boutique marketing, public relations and event strategy firm. After a 16 year successful and recognized career in corporate America, Maurisa launched her own company offering distinctively tailored and integrated marketing solutions exclusively to small businesses, non-profits, associations, specialty boutiques, entrepreneurs and other private entities in the Washington, D.C. metropolitan area. She serves on the Board of the American Marketing Association – DC Chapter in which she holds the Vice President of Marketing Communications. Maurisa is an advocate and mentor to young women in business.
